Where does it go?

You know when you need a poo but you can't be arsed to move from in front of the computer/Gamecube/pr0n and you just wait and eventually you don't need a poo anymore, then you panic and try to go to the loo and there's nothing... where does it go? Is poo sentient? Does it find something else to do while it waits?

In other news. They wouldn't believe I wasn't buying Nintendogs for myself in the game shop yesterday. I used to be such a good liar. Maybe they weren't joking when they spoke about Mars 'making an honest man of me'....

Obligatory post-terrorist atrocity blog entry

Frankly, I'm against it.

Been trying to follow the coverage all day through this headache, or is it that the coverage is giving me a headache. The news updates were coming through so fast this morning that I don't recall what order things happened in. Either way, Neurofen can't shift it :(

There's just too much to consider it all rationally. I am going for another lie down.

Well, it's a skive...

There's only so many floors one can mop in a day so here I am updating this thing again.

Granted, I've been spending a lot more time on my photoblog of late and those who want to see that one can ask me for the url.

Since last I posted, I've been married and honeymooned and de-jobbed and re-jobbed and bi-jobbed and mono-jobbed an un-jobbed and re-re-jobbed and by jove, I'm confused.

It's one thing to plan a major upheaval in life but another entirely to get to it and realise that the other shit that happens will still happen regardless of your desire for it not to. So here I sit in my 'proper' job for the first time in weeks, but its a Saturday and there's only so much you can do. I AM glad to be back though - having spent so long getting acclimatised to the building and everything it means, I was gitted to have to mpove onto another service, despite it being a really karmically positive thing to do where I get to find my way around the East Riding and meet lots of interesting people and drink too many cups of coffee.

So, wedding.... Perfect. So many people, so much positivity, a highlight for me being the conversation I had with a storm on the saturday night. It was a little one-sided as I sat in a ball on the floor by myself and was told a thing or two, but such heavenly advice is hard to ignore ;)

Camping was spectacular, ceremony as energised, the ending of the eveng a fairly heart-rending process to go through but the hangover helped dull the pain. Irony has never been more welcome.

Honeymooning brought me, in no particular order:

1: Blue poo
2: Lots of Mars time
3: The chance to catch up on some nintendo gamesI'd been overlooking
4: Another wedding
5: An old friend from uni, unseen for 7 years. Not only that, she still has 'teh ginger loveliness' and her bloke is FOREST :D
6: More steak than is reasonable
7: A bunch of new friends
8: Jellyfish
9: An acceptable greek bathroom
10: Knowing my limits

Then we got back and our resident lensman was about to go, so we have a whole house to ourselves and I am in the process of reating my new studio, in which I can write, fiddle with photos, do my music and the rest, but will in fact just use for playing Football Manager and Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Repiulic ;)

Since then there's been the small matter of an Army weekend in Brumingham. Davey bit me on the groin and I had Brown Ale. Not a bad weekend all in all.

Just finishing off at work...

Which means I have a job, which is nice. It IS nice - nicer than I thought it was going to be, nice that I enjoy it, get on with the service users and the staff and all that. Improvements over the LTSB job are as follows:

1: I can speak when I want
2: I can get up and walk around when I want
3: I can prioritise my own workload
4: I can use my skills in context and am trusted to - for example - fix a computer when I say I can
5: Have ops on the systems
6: Use the net at work when I am not busy
7: Solve problems as I come across them - not send a bastard form to a twat in London who ignores it.
8: I could go on, but I won't. Suffice it to say I am treated like an independant human being and I like it.

As for the bank, they are to close my old building and move the 200 in it to the other site in the centre of Manc. I said this would happen. Nobody believed me. I love being right. I told everyone there to join the union and they would benefit from doing so but the majority did not. Now they are closing their building and moving them to a shitty site in the arse end of nowhere and everyone is jolly upset. They would NEVER have closed this one had it been a closed shop, say 95%+ membership of the real union.

So really, it serves them right. HEHEHE. Scadenfreude, you are my bestest friend.

And now my job allows me to help people too. So all is good.

Ongoing projects:

Diagnose soundcard illness and make it better
Pick a devkit and start coding. Something. Anything.
Get married.
Sit on arse in Zakynthos for a fortnight
Get good at Racing Gears.

I have to go home now, the Mars is ill. Might post again later.
